Welcome

Union Church, sometimes known as the Church on the Corner, is an established Baptist and Congregational Church located right in the centre of Heathfield.
It is an evangelical church with worshipping members from all denominations with a focus on "serving the community in Jesus' name". You are welcome to come to our morning service at 10.30am every Sunday.

Rev Mark Welch

Our minister Mark Welch joined us in 2006 and leads the Church with support from deacons,
members and friends.

Mark has served in two previous Baptist Churches and trained at Spurgeon's College.

Along with Sarah his wife they have 3 children who all attend local schools.

The Church

There are many opportunities for members and friends to get involved
in the Church and a key area is the music group which leads worship each Sunday.

The coffee lounge is an important area, alongside the church hall, which serves not only members and friends but also the community on a number of occasions each week.

The Church has a very healthy prayer life and several House Groups.

The children's and young people's work is also a great encouragement as the Church thinks ahead in its planning and strategy in serving the Community.
